Terms & Conditions

The terms that govern our fire safety services and equipment supply

Last Updated: August 2, 2026

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Defence Fire Protection website and any fire safety engineering services or safety equipment you purchase from us. By requesting a quote, placing an order, or engaging our services, you agree to the terms below. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

1. Our Services

Defence Fire Protection provides design, supply, installation, and maintenance of fire safety systems and equipment, including but not limited to:

  • Fire alarm systems
  • Fire hydrant systems
  • Fire sprinkler systems
  • Fire extinguishers and other safety equipment
  • Annual maintenance contracts (AMCs) and 24/7 emergency support

All work is carried out with the aim of meeting NFPA and relevant international fire-safety standards, subject to site conditions and any restrictions communicated by the client.

2. Quotations & Site Surveys

Quotations are typically issued after a site survey and are valid for a limited period stated on the quotation. Final pricing may be adjusted if site conditions, quantities, or scope change after the survey. Any change in scope will be communicated and agreed before additional work proceeds.

3. Orders, Payment & Delivery

  • An advance/deposit may be required to confirm an order for equipment or the start of installation work.
  • Delivery and installation timelines communicated to clients are estimates and may vary due to site access, material availability, or factors outside our control.
  • Full and final payment is due as per the schedule agreed at the time of order or contract signing.
  • Equipment remains the property of Defence Fire Protection until payment is received in full.

4. Warranty & Maintenance

Equipment we supply is covered by the respective manufacturer’s warranty, where applicable. Installation workmanship is covered under our own warranty terms as stated on your invoice or contract. Warranty coverage does not extend to damage caused by misuse, unauthorized modification, or lack of routine maintenance. Clients under an Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) will receive scheduled inspections as outlined in their contract.

5. Client Responsibilities

  • Provide safe and timely access to the site for surveys, installation, and maintenance visits.
  • Share accurate site information (building layout, existing systems, prior modifications) needed for a correct design.
  • Avoid unauthorized tampering with installed systems, which may void warranty coverage.
  • Renew AMCs or arrange servicing in a timely manner to keep systems compliant and functional.

6. Limitation of Liability

While we design and install every system to meet applicable fire-safety standards, Defence Fire Protection is not liable for losses arising from misuse of equipment, unauthorized third-party modifications, failure to maintain systems as recommended, or events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure). Our liability for any claim related to our services is limited to the value of the specific contract or order in question.

7. Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellation requests must be made in writing. Deposits already used toward materials procurement or work already performed are non-refundable. Refunds, where applicable, will be processed after deducting costs incurred up to the point of cancellation.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our services, pricing structure, or legal requirements. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
